I’ve had a varied professional career over the years. This has included training people in personal safety, carrying out Disabled Students Allowance assessments and being a theatre captioner for the deaf. More recently I’ve worked as a tutor/lecturer for the Open University specialising in arts and humanities subjects including literature, history, religious studies and history of art.
I have taught adults how to solve Cryptic Crosswords both online and face to face at Ipswich Institute. I am also a keen narrowboater, owning a share in a canal boat and completing the Cheshire Ring and many other routes in the UK.

I’ve been a Mirthy speaker on topics ranging from cryptic crosswords to canals. I enjoy sharing my enthusiasm for these topics with my audiences.
My talk lasts between 45 minutes and 1 hour. I will require a projector and screen.
Fee:
I charge £50 for my talk. I’m available for talks within 10 miles of my home in Ipswich IP4 4LP. For longer distances I ask for travel expenses at 45p per mile.
