About The Speaker...
1. A cornet player from the age of 9 to 20 then following a 40 year gap whilst working full time, I resumed my instrument playing on a euphonium and now play as a member of 4 local concert bands. A collector, and occasional maker, of various musical wind instruments, and will produce and play many from a collection of over 100 instruments from around the world.
2. A Volunteer Ranger and Lock Keeper with the Canal and river Trust for over 11 years.
3. Advanced Driving. A Police Advanced Driver with both Traffic Patrol and general policing experience, I was a volunteer Observer with the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) for 20 years. On retirement I qualified as a Driving Instructor and worked as a part time agent trainer for various driving companies, including the IAM.

“Tuneful Tubes?” – a one hour light hearted, demonstrated talk on the world-wide history of wind instruments, playing many from a collection of over 100 instruments.
