I have been a Tudor Costumed Historical Interpreter for 9 years which brings me great pleasure as I have a passion for Tudor times..
I research carefully for each event then enjoy the challenges of the interactions with the visitors and answering their questions while maintaining my Tudor persona in the the first person.
I am a Stand Alone Speaker who does not use IT although I would use a clip on microphone if the audience requested it.
About Their Talks...
The Housekeeper who starts in a basic Tudor costume then puts items on while walking round the audience showing the pieces and talking about each one. When I am dressed then I talk about the Tudor food and the Dinner Service, using photos of some of the food and myself serving it in various places. I have made most of the things so can talk about this as well. I invite questions throughout the talk which lasts about 1 hour. The audience may handle the costume items at the end.( no actual food).I have a good knowledge of Tudor matters so can answer any question according to the interests of the group.
Fee:
I charge £70 for the talk and if the venue is more than 10 miles from Colchester then 30p per mile travel expenses.
I am willing to travel for up to 40 miles to give the talks, Essex or Suffolk
