Women in Literature

A discussion on some of the best loved women in literature looking at Jane Austen, The Bronte Sisters, Enid Blyton to more modern authors such as J K Rowling and Janice Hallet.

The talk can be tailored to the needs, whether it is an overview of the history of a specific author or looking at some of most famous female characters portrayed in literature, such as Estelle from Great Expectations, Shelia Birling in An Inspector Calls or even Hermione Grainger from the Harry Potter Series.

Female Comedians

A walk down memory lane discovering some of the greatest female comedians in the industry. What made them so great and why are they best remembered?

We shall look at some clips of some of their work and celebrate the women who shaped British Comedy. From Hattie Jacques, Joan Sims, Esma Cannon, Patsy Rowland, Marti Cane to more modern female comedians such as Victoria Wood, Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders.
