About me...
I am a retired Sports Coach and have been a member of Toastmasters International for over four years. I won their area Humorous Speech Competition in 2017 and came second in 2018. Since my retirement I have spent many hours fund raising for various charities. I started Public Speaking about six years ago and have spoken to many groups over these years.
I hate wasting time and am usually very busy. I organise two monthly walks for the U3A and also walk with friends. I play the ukulele and piano – not very well but enjoy practicing from time to time. I am an avid reader mainly of thrillers. I paint stones and hide them to raise awareness of D.I.P.G. As age took its toll and I could no longer play Netball I started playing darts and play for a local team. I also run a darts group for the U3A. My son has a rare illness and I run the North East Support Group for Vasculitis. I enjoy gardening and growing my own flowers and vegetables. When I give my talks I always ask for feedback and can supply copies to anyone who is interested.
