About The Speaker...
I am an avid crafter with over 20 years of experience creating personalised gifts. Since experimenting with different mediums, my works have ranged from cards to book art. I was born and bred in Glasgow and moved to the East Midlands two decades ago which is when my passion for craft turned into a business. Having many years of performing stand up comedy, my talks are far from boring!
Previously, I have delivered talks to institutions such as the National Libraries, U3A, and the Women’s Institute. Also, I was able to do workshops for both the book art and memory/scrapbook pages.
About Their Talks...
Currently, I offer two talks: The Importance of Scrapbooking and Introducing Book Art. Though very different from one another, both Book Art and Scrapbooking are centred around sustainability and repurposing of materials to create one-of-a-kind artwork. For both talks I will require at least a 4ft long table for demonstration purposes. As the talks are centred around the demonstration and the construction of these art forms, my talks are versatile to suit your needs. I usually complete a talk in approximately an hour which includes the Q&A section at the end but this can be altered depending on the group and the allocated time I am asked to deliver for.
Fee:
My fees will include travel expenses to and from the destination as well as the time of the talk itself. The fee is dependent upon the size of the group.
